TPA - Trailer Parking Assistant

Trailer Parking Assistant is a standalone solution for easy backing when towing trailer. TPA functioning is based on the similar principle as widely used in cars - Parktronic system. The original are ways to inform the driver about approach to obstacles with:

  1. sound signal, making by the system control unit;
  2. trailer additional side marker lights color-flashing;
  3. hearing signal sounds with car audio system at pre-installed FM frequency

 

The rear side marker lights are multifunctional: when driving forward operate as standard marker lights, otherwise when moving back alert a driver by three-color changing flash (green, yellow and red) about distance from trailer back to an obstacle.

TPA system is installed on the trailer only and does not require any modification of the tow vehicle wiring. The system is powered directly from a standard trailer plug (13-pin socket only) with the voltage controlling the tail position lights or reversing lights. Communication between the individual components of the system is carried out via a single-wire bus, which greatly eases the installation process.
